Centres provide free job search resources such as;

Computers with internet access

Job search websites

Travel expenses
are reimbursed for attending the Programme Centre.

LOOKING FOR TRAINING?
Work Based
Learning for Adults is a positive way to train and gain work
experience and
qualifications relating to the type of job you want.
Work Based
Learning for Adults is funded by ELWa and comprises of
two programmes;
Skillbuild –
Preparatory Learning
·
Will identify and address your
basic skills needs
·
Will help remove barriers to
accessing job related training and
employability.
·
Will give you the confidence
and motivation to take the next step.
Skillbuild &
Skills Learning;
·
Enables you to access
occupational learning up to NVQ level 3.
·
Take short courses designed to
enable you to move into
sustained employment.
If you are aged
25 or over and have been out of work 6 months or more
you may be eligible for
Work Based Learning for Adults. Certain
individuals may be able to join earlier
for example;
·
Those with a disability
·
Those returning to the labour
market
·
Those subject to large scale
redundancy
·
Lone parents
You will be
entitled to your benefit plus £10 per week whilst training.
