  • Work Based Learning Programmes
    • Do you want to develop your skills whilst at work or get back into work?
    • A training plan could be agreed with you covering specific job training, working towards a full apprenticeship or modular based programme.
  • Apprenticeships
    • Being in the work place allows apprentices to gain a wide range of skills and knowledge specific to their chosen industry.
    • National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) are achieved through assessment and training in the workplace.
    • NVQs are nationally recognised qualifications accepted by employers and academic institutes.
    • Key skills . all apprentices have the opportunity to improve their key skills, such as communication, number skills, team work, problem solving, improving own learning and information technology. Key skills are essential skills that underpin success in education, employment, life long learning and personal development.
    • Technical certificates focus on the knowledge and understanding that underpins the NVQ competencies. They may also cover wider aspects of the chosen occupation or sector. They include BTEC, City & Guilds or EAL qualifications. They prove the apprentice understands the theory behind the job, as well as being able to carry out the practical tasks.
If you like the idea of apprenticeships but have no idea in which area
you would like to work, let us inspire you!
WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU?
  • You have to show dedication and a professional attitude.
  • You will need to concentrate when you are given on the job training.
  • You are expected to spend your own time to gain your qualifications and undertake home study. It can be hard, but it can be very rewarding.
FUNDING AND COSTS
  • Financial assistance is available for short courses.
  • Apprenticeships are fully funded, but you must be in employment.
  • If you are unemployed we can assist you to find work.
