About Us
NWT was founded in 1983 and became a limited company in 1986

NWT delivers training across a wide variety of occupational area using a network of Training Advisors/Assessors operating within employers own premises. This activity is complemented by direct training, short courses, underpinning knowledge sessions, information packs, distance learning materials, IT software and the like. We operate three Training Centres in Colwyn Bay, Deeside and Wrexham and currently service the whole of North Wales.
NWT is contracted to ELWa to deliver Skillbuild, Skillbuild Plus, Foundation and Modern Apprenticeships and Modern Skills Diploma programmes.
NWT has for many years contracted with Jobcentre Plus for the provision of training and support for job seekers and New Deal. The whole of this network of provision underpins our essential requirements which are to support and assist employers to develop and up skill their workforce in line with their business goals.

Additionally we offer NVQ training commercially and a wide range of short courses from our extensive portfolio. These are offered at employers own premises or at a network of venues in North Wales.
In March 2002 NWT was fully accredited against the All Wales Adult Guidance Quality Standards.

In June 2003 NWT was re-recognised for the third time as an Investor in People Company and achieved excellent results in the profile approach, gaining grades across each of the IiP measures that confirmed NWT has outstanding characteristics in its staff Development Programme.
Also in June 2003 NWT made a commitment to improve the Basic Skills of its employees by joining the Basic Skills Employer Pledge Programme. NWT is working towards the Post 16 Quality Kitemark and envisages certification by autumn 2005.
